How to Create Mario Kart DS Action Replay Codes

Hey everybody,

Recently, UnknownToaster (the same author who created the Super Mario 64 code tutorial), made a brand new tutorial on how to create Mario Kart DS action replay codes. I hope you enjoy this tutorial, and remember to encourage him so that he will create more tutorials and dig deeper into the action replay coding patterns:

Today I will show you how to make Speed codes, Wifi and non-Wifi, and moon jump codes…

Starting with the moon jump:
First, your gonna need to choose what button you want to use for the moon jump.

Here is the list of activators for each button:

Now Pick one of those, and copy it.
Your gonna need to paste it where ever it says “-Activator Here-”

So say we choose “B”, well copy that activator: 94000130 fffd0000
Then lets take the code to be modified:

Your gonna need to replace each “-Activator here-” with that activator, so you’ll end up with this:

Now you noticed the X’s, well, thats where YOU input your own values to tell how fast the jump will be, anywhere from 0000-9999
So say you choose the value of 5000, well, then replace all xxxx’s with 5000. You should end up with this:

Now for the Non-Wifi enabled speed code:

Well, this time, Your not picking the activator because it would just be plain weird otherwise.
Now again replace the xxxx’s with your values, I wouldn’t recommend putting maxed out values because its a pain to use…

As you can see, this is A LOT longer than the non-wifi.
Now again, I wouldn't recommend using maxed out values, anywhere between 1000-3000 is fine.
